Privacy Policy
This policy explains how HaloSway processes information when you use the HaloSway iOS app and this website.
Information HaloSway processes
Account and purchase information
HaloSway creates an anonymous authenticated app identifier to associate your recordings, program progress, purchases, and sessions with your use of the app. Core features do not require your name or email. Apple processes App Store purchases, and purchase infrastructure receives the app identifier, product and transaction information, and entitlement status so HaloSway can verify access and restore eligible purchases.
Voice setup and Potential Voice
When you ask HaloSway to create your Potential Voice, the direction-specific recording is uploaded to private storage and securely processed by HaloSway’s cloud and AI processing services. The reference is deleted promptly after successful generation; a failed job may retain it for up to approximately 30 minutes for bounded retry and cleanup. The generated result remains private and is retained remotely for approximately 24 hours so the app can deliver it, while the downloaded copy remains on your device until you remove it.
Daily voice coaching
Before and After recordings remain locally available under the app’s controls. When coaching analysis is requested, HaloSway uploads a private temporary audio copy to cloud and AI processing services. The temporary remote copy is deleted after validated processing, with bounded cleanup retention if immediate deletion cannot be verified. HaloSway retains structured observations, coaching focuses, results, program state, and limited usage metadata—not the raw coaching audio.
Real-Life Practice
For Real-Life Practice, live microphone audio is sent over an encrypted real-time media connection to an AI processing service. HaloSway does not store that raw simulation audio or a conversation transcript. HaloSway stores limited session information such as the assigned scenario, completion state, duration, concise post-session feedback, usage and timing metadata, and sanitized error information.
Device and technical information
HaloSway processes technical data needed to provide and secure the service, including request identifiers, timing, completion status, retry counts, and sanitized diagnostics. Raw audio, authorization credentials, signed private links, and full service responses are excluded from application logs. The website hosting provider may process ordinary web request information such as IP address, browser details, and request timing to deliver and secure this site.
Why information is used
- To create and deliver your Potential Voice preview.
- To provide the 7-Day Voice Upgrade and its Before/After coaching.
- To run Real-Life Practice sessions and return concise feedback.
- To verify purchases, subscriptions, and daily access.
- To prevent duplicate provider work, diagnose failures safely, and maintain service reliability.
Service providers
HaloSway relies on Apple for app distribution, purchases, and device services, plus service providers for purchase management, authenticated cloud storage, application hosting, AI voice processing, real-time media processing, and website delivery. These providers process information only as needed for their role and under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Temporary audio is deleted under the feature-specific periods described above. Structured program, purchase, usage, and session records are retained as needed to provide the service, restore access, preserve history, enforce allowances, prevent duplicate processing, and maintain security. Privacy & Data controls let you remove local recordings or use Delete My Data to delete your HaloSway account, owned private files, progress, and service records. Deleting HaloSway data does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Security
Server credentials remain server-side, private audio requires authentication and ownership checks, and paid access is verified by the backend. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but HaloSway is designed to minimize retention and separate temporary audio from longer-lived structured records.
Your choices
You can decline microphone access, stop a recording, remove recordings or request account-data deletion through Privacy & Data, restore eligible Apple purchases, and manage or cancel a Real-Life Practice subscription through Apple. Declining voice processing prevents features that require it.
Changes to this policy
HaloSway may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
